3 Months!

Caden has now hit 3 months!!
We went to see the doctor yesterday and he weighs 14.1 pounds!! Wow! We have now starting outgrowing 3-6 month clothes and are entering 6-9 month! We no longer can wear handmedowns from Case. The seasons are falling wrong b/c Caden is so chunky!! But he is so loveable, I just love chunky babies!! We have also started teething!! Super Early!! Dr. Morgan said that he has knots on his gums which is the reason for his fussiness the past few days! So we have hit the Tylenol bottle and as of last night started hitting the orajel tube. Time flies by way to fast!!

Case is 3!!

Today Case turned 3! We had his party Saturday and we all had a blast! Case had a few buddies over and we celebrated with lots of cake and icecream! He is growing so fast. I wish I could just pause this time of his life b/c he is so much fun.

2 Months

Caden is now 2 months old! Time has flown by! He is getting more alert although we are still working on getting a schedule. We went for our 2 month check up and he weighed 12.4 lbs and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is very "healthy"!! We have finally got an appointment with a pediatric gastrologist but we have to wait until January to see her! It was disappointing since we are having so many problems with him. This past week has been pretty good. I hope it stays that way. Case is still in love with Caden and has become very protective of him. It is so sweet the love he has for him. It makes me so proud of how good he has been and continues to be.

Fun Days!

Caden is getting so big! He has started smiling and cooing this past week! He tries so hard to talk to you! It is so sweet! He has started recognizing voices too! (Surely Case's) I think it is b/c Case is sooooo loud! Case stills love his "baby"! He rubs his head and gives him kisses and at times way too many! Caden blinks his eyes whenever Case gets close! We are still having a hard time getting Caden straightened out! He still cries alot and doesn't sleep much! Hopefully this next month the colic and reflux will get better! They say they outgrow colic at 3 months but longer for the reflux. But still, these are fun days and I am enjoying every minute of them!

Pumpkin Patch '07

We went to the pumpkin patch with Case's school! It was so much fun even though it rained almost the whole time. Case was super excited about the hayride. He picked out the perfect pumpkin!(of course being his mommy the ugliest pumpkin would have been perfect) He is getting so big and independent that it makes me sad! But when he says "Mommy, I wuve you" it makes it all better.

Not Gross anymore!!

Finally Case doesn't think Caden is gross anymore to hold. He would hug and kiss him but when we tried to get him to hold Caden he would say "gross". Yesterday Case finally held Caden and he loved it so much that he nows wants to hold him all the time! Caden is growing so fast and he is becoming more alert! And last night he slept 3 hours before waking up for a bottle! YEAH!:)

Chubby Cheeks!!

Caden is getting so big! He has the chubbiest cheeks! And Case loves to kiss them (and his head, hands, and anything else he can reach!) Caden is getting a little bit better now that he is on formula. The past two nights he has just woke every two hours and has went back to sleep! So hopefully the acid reflux and colic is getting better. Case is getting so funny because he acts like a second mommy to Caden. He tries his best to get him to quit crying. The other day he played peek-a-boo with him. He finally gave up and looked at me and said "baby cry?!" They are so much fun!

The Love of Brothers!

The last few days we can't keep Case away from Caden. He is constantly concerned about him and wanting to give hugs and kisses. It is so surprising that he is so protective of him and that he loves him so much! PRAYERS ANSWERED! Case is a wonderful BIG BROTHER!

Welcome Caden!

Caden Brooks Davis
September 11, 2007
7 lbs 6 oz
19 1/2

We arrived at the hospital at 7 am and at 9:30 am we were heading back for what we thought would be a routine c-section. At 10:37 we welcomed Caden Brooks into the world. His cry was so beautiful to finally hear. Sounds crazy but I have wanted to hear it for so long. But as routine as things can be it can turn into something serious. I started to get very nauseous, lightheaded, and out of breath. All things common with an epidural so I was just bearing with it hoping they would hurry up. But to my surprise it wasn't the epidural, my uterus was hemorraging and they couldn't stop my bleeding. I knew something was serious wrong when they told Matt to sign a piece of paper and leave the OR. I was terrified! But everything turned out fine. I had a partial hysterectomy. Thankfully Caden was ok and I have God to thank for that. Caden is doing wonderful and putting on weight fast! Case loves "his baby" very much. He loves to give him kisses and tickle him. I know that every child is a gift from God but Caden is truly an example of that. The doctor told me that I am very lucky to have my life and Caden's b/c at any time during the pregnancy my uterus could have ruptured! So I want to thank everybody for all of the thoughts and prayers. And most of all thank God for giving me such a precious gift!

The Time is Finally Here!

The time has finally arrived for Baby Davis to make his/her appearance! We have to be in Little Rock in the morning at 7. So I doubt I will get much sleep tonight worrying about Case and the surgery. Send up many prayers for us b/c I had to take Case to the doctor today for fever and a mysterious bellyache that he complained with all day yesterday and last night. Dr. Hord said everything looks fine so I hope that it stays that way. And send up lots of extra prayers for me b/c I am scared to death of having another c-section.
We will post new pics of Baby Davis whenever we get home and settled in. We are super excited to get to share him/her with everybody! :)

What a Big Boy!

Last night we worked on getting the baby's furniture together. What a headache that caused! But thankfully we had the help of Case! He was super excited about helping us put it together. Everytime we brought another box into the nursery he was ripping it open and wanting his papaw's help! It took alot longer but it was sweet that he wanted to help, so we made sure we included him in every step! (which was alot)!!

Our carpet is going to be laid in the new room on Tuesday and then we will be finished with it! YEAH! All the dust from everything has Matt and Case sick. I took them to the doctor last week and they both have bronchitis and are on antibiotics.

10 more days and we will get to meet Baby Davis! I am so ready b/c I am getting to where I can't walk, I WADDLE as Matt would say! Hopefully by then we will have everything ready and everybody will be feeling better AND RICE WILL BE CUT! :)

We have a DATE!!

We went to the doctor today and received a date for my c-section! It will be September 11th! If not sooner because I have already dilated to 1 1/2. The doctor told me that he thinks I am going to have a small baby this time. AND I have lost weight!! :) I went to Baby Depot today and bought me a jogging stroller that way after I have the baby I can start trying to lose my weight! It won't be much longer before we get to meet Baby Davis!!

Getting Closer!

We went to the doctor yesterday and we received a good report! Except for the whole weight issue that I have! I have to be back Monday and my doctor will schedule me an appointment for my c-section. So we are looking at maybe the first full week in September! Yea, I can't wait! With the record breaking heat and chasing after a very "energetic" 2 1/2 year old I am so ready! Case has picked up on that something is definitely changing. The construction and all the baby stuff has him very confused and at times very unbearable. Thankfully God has blessed me with a little extra patience to deal with him and the million other things that are going on!
Our bedroom should be ready in 2 weeks. So it will be done just in time. We are still waiting on our baby bed to be delivered. I hope it gets here in time!

New Shades!

The other day at the store Case spotted some Spongebob sunglasses and just had to have them. I am glad that I bought them for him b/c he hasn't taken them off since then. He thinks he is a "cool dude!"

A Big Baby!!

Today we had a baby shower and we received alot of much needed things-like diapers! Whenever Case woke up from his nap he was so excited about all the baby things! We ended up having to put a baby bib on him. He had to eat supper with it on and we are still battling with trying to get him to take it off! I am going to have a big baby and a little baby in about 4 weeks!

'07 Rice Crop

2007 rice harvest is nearing! Every year I get Matt and Case's picture taken in the rice. Looking back Case has grown so much since the first picture back in 2004. I can't wait until next rice harvest that way I can get all 3 of my kids in the picture!

Another 5 Weeks!

We went for a 3-D Ultrasound today. We had the worst luck! The baby cover it's head with it's hands and feet. I went from side to side and they even elevated me upside down which made me sick! Still nothing! We were so excited, but I guess it's picture shy and we will just have to wait another 5 weeks to see him/her!

I CAN POTTY!

This week we have had a big accomplishment! Case finally pee-pee in the potty! He still has accidents and times when he thinks he doesn't have to go potty! But we are working on it!

We also had our family portraits done this week. They turned out better than I thought that they would. Case wasn't very cooperative.

I went to the doctor today and everything is still going great with Baby Davis! I am so ready to meet this lil' person. 7 more weeks, maybe sooner!

Case's 1st Bath in the Sink!

Out of 2 1/2 years, this is Case's first time to bathe in the sink! He is a little too big but it was hilarious. He was spraying himself like he had been doing it forever. He didn't want to get out either. It saved my back and belly from leaning over the bathtub too!

Case's big day with his daddy!

I am still trying to figure this whole blog thing out!

Case went with Matt to help change bean water and when he came back he was so dirty! But, I know he had a blast!
