Oreo Cheesecake Bites

So here I am with another pinterest dish I tried. These are call Oreo Cheesecake Bites. Mmmmmmm.........And they were the bomb diggity! Haha
 You will need: 36 Oreos
                         4 tablespoons butter
4 package of cream cheese at room temp.
                        1 cup of sugar
                        1 cup sour cream
                         1 teaspoon of vanilla
                        4 large eggs

Preheat oven to 325
Then take 24 oreos and crush them and add them with the room temperature butter and press it in a foil lined 9x13 baking dish
In a large bowl mix cream cheese and sugar together, add sour cream and vanilla and mix well. Then add one egg at a time and mix well after each egg. Then chop the rest of your oreos and mix in with the mixture and pour over the crust.
Bake for about 40 mins. I acctually think 40 is to much so 30-35 would be plenty.
This is what you crust will look like before you add your filling.
This is what you have after the filling is added and bakes.
I had good intentions on cutting cute bitesize pieces out but our family just dug in cheesecake style. It was heavenly and I made my self sick on it. It is very rich and creamy. But a little goes a long way!!

So another pinterest meal has passed my familys picky bellies!! Woohoo

What a crazy month....

This month has been full of parades, school Christmas prgrams and school parties. (Ooh and lots of sickness) The first part of the month was our local town's Christmas parade. The preschool that Caden attends had a float in the parade and so he got to join in on the ride. Although it took alot of bribing to get him on. He is very clingy with his dad and me. But he rode like a big boy and even threw us some candy when he saw us!!

Case was waiting to see his lil bro on the float.

Then later on in the month they perform a singing for us. It was so cute and they did awesome. My little guy didn't feel the greatest so he didn't get all into it like he had previous times. You can see in his little face he doesn't feel well.
Then on to decorate gingerbread house. And he really didn't want to do that either. He just wanted to go home.

But he did his best and we left early and went to see the doctor and found out he had a ear infection. Poor lil fella no wonder he felt so bad. But we are better now because of antibiotics and ear drops.
Then is was Case's turn for a Christmas party. Case had a blast with all his buddies from school.

So that was us in party mode for most of December. But with tomorrow being Christmas Eve and then the special day of Christmas it will be party mode again!!!

These boys mean the world to me. I cannot imagine the pain some parents are feeling during this week with not having the children with them. I pray for them everyday and I pray for their strength to carry on their faith that one day they will be with them precious children again. Ever since the Conn. shooting I have cuddled and hugged my boys more.

Case is 8!!!!

This is how we celebrate a birthday!
Case turned 8 today! *sniff sniff*
So Caden and I went and had lunch with him at school today. He was totally surprised by our arrival. Then we came back home and baked him some cupcakes. I decorated the cupcakes monster style. With googly eyes and green icing!

This one is the birthday boys! He has a candle for a nose! LOL
 8 years old

Oh and I made him homemade pizza! One half Canadian bacon/pepperoni and one half supreme. It was so dang yummy.

Happy Birthday to my little Case! I can't believe you are 8. You have been such a joy to us. We love you very much.

Branson 2012

For those of you that knows us, knows we are creatures of habit. Rarely do we do anything out of the ordinary. For the past 5 years we have went to Branson during Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. This year we didn't get to go to Silver Dollar City because they were closed on Monday. So we just played some putt putt golf and did some walking around the Branson Landing. Oh and we saw Santa! We always stay at these log cabins which secretly make me wish I had one. It was a low key vacation before the hectic holidays get here. Here are some of the pictures from our stay.

These next ones were taken at a playground in Branson. I think catching your kids playing are some of the best photos. And if the light isn't perfect just make them black and white!

Boys don't like pictures!

Well my 2 boys informed me today that they absolutely hate having their pictures taken. Really? They have had a camera shoved in their faces since they were born. I tried my best to get the best Christmas card picture today but it was a battle. Case's eyes burned from the flash and Caden's smile got tired. They were cold, they had to pee and so on and so on. I got 2 maybe 3 so-so shots. But with those I got my Christmas cards ordered people! I am on a roll. Haha!

Halloween 2012

Trick or Treating 2012 went great. We had grilled hot dogs, cheese dip and yummy cupcakes before heading out on a hay ride to rack up on some candy.
Please meet Mario, Princess Peach and Luigi
 And the pink poodle!
Luigi and Mario ready for some candy!
Trick or Treat smell my feet!!
Getting a little tired AGAIN. Ha we just can't hang with the party!
 Luigi
 More candy!
Of course Mario didn't make it home awake. He passed out as soon as we left town. But as soon as we got home the request for candy started. They each got to enjoy one piece and then baths and off to sleepy time! Whew I was tired from all that trick or treating but they had a blast. I wonder what our costumes will be next year?

Let's go Trick or Treating EARLY!!

We went Trick or Treating with the preschool this morning for an early start on Halloween. It was a cold morning thou so the costume we picked out wasn't going to work. He originally picked out Mario but it was so cold and Mario was so thin. So I thought we live in the south so how about we go as a hunter. So we dressed in our camo and was all warm and snugly!! Maybe on the real Trick or Treat we will go as planned!!

This is Caden's last year of preschool! So sad!

We went around our town's square to all the businesses and boy do they give out the candy! I was even a little excited!!

He was great and said "Thank you" to all the candy givers!
But as always he got a little tired so daddy got "carry me" duty. What a great daddy Matt is.
Off to go eat some "CANDY"

Banana "NO NUTS" Bread

Nothing says Fall than smelling some fresh baked Banana Nut Bread. This is my first loaf this fall. But one thing you should know about me is I hate nuts in food! I love them by themselves but don't dare put them in anything. It makes me want to gag! So I make Banana "No Nuts" Bread.
 Banana "NO NUTS" Bread
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup mashed bananas (5 medium)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 tsp salt
Grease and flour you loaf pan and preheat your oven to 350
Mix together your dry ingredients which consist of flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture.
Mix together your wet ingredients. Eggs, bananas, sugar and butter.
Pour your wet ingredients into the well of the dry ingredients. Stir until just moisten and there will still be lumps and that is ok.
Pour into your loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes.
Then enjoy a warm piece of banana "no nuts" bread!! YumYum!!
