11 Months

Caden is 11 months!! 1 month from the big 1 year old bash!! He now has 6 teeth & loves to use them on me and Case! He hasn't started walking yet but hopefully that will come real soon. We already have his birthday cake ordered and have already had his 1 year pictures taken. We are ready for his birthday party!!!

'08 Rice & Bean Crop

WOW!!! I can't believe that it is almost time for rice & bean harvest. I think Matt said about a month before rice harvest just because they were so late planting it.

Now I have all three of my boys in the picture. It makes me sad that three is as big as it will ever be. Maybe one day Matt will get a soft heart & we will be able to adopt a child. That would be such a miracle.

God works in all kind of ways & changes the hardest of hearts, so I pray every night that he will change Matt to see that every child deserves to have a family to love them.

10 Months & No-No

2 more months until the big 1 year. And then no longer will we have a baby!! We have started telling Caden No-No and he is having a hard time with the words. He puckers up and hollers when you say them. He has started to get around and into everything. He definitely keeps me on my toes.

Case's vocabulary has been expanding and sometimes expanding to words that sometimes shocks me. He uses them as if they are not naughty words. He has started using excuses for everything from I have to pee-pee to my legs hurt. Awfully strange that it all starts when he has to pick up toys or go to bed.

I am feeling a little better but just exhausted by the end of the day. Not sure if it is from surgery or just from running after kids all day. I need a NICE VACATION!!! Maybe one day in about 18 years!! HAHA But I enjoy every minute of it. Wouldn't change a thing!!

What a Month!!

Let me start off by saying "What a month May was!!" I did alot of firsts!!

I took my first private jet ride!! What a blast that was. Although I don't think I will ever do that again. One of Brooks & Matt's friends flew us to Morgan Freeman's restaurant in Mississippi. What would have taken us 3 1/2 hours just took us 12 minutes. What a ride that was. After dinner we went to a blues club. Not really me but interesting.

I help with the First Baptist VBS! That was also a blast. The little kids are so funny & bring joy to anyones face. It was so much fun to watch the excitement on all the faces & surely Case's. He told me every night "I stay here!" I took sick mid-week & missed a couple of nights. But I quickly recovered & was back to myself by Friday.

We also took Case to the Memphis zoo before Matt got busy in the fields. We have tried to make that a yearly thing. We didn't take Caden this trip but by next year he will be able to go. Case had a blast & was totally tired by the time we left.

Caden also is turning 9 months. He weighs 21 lbs & 4 oz. What a big boy!! He is getting around very good although he is not crawling forwards yet. I have caught him getting into plenty of things. He has started saying bye-bye & waving. He also has 4 teeth & 2 more coming in on top. Ooh & yes they work. I have marks on my chin to prove it. He still will not take a sippy cup!! But we are working on that.

Remember us in your prayers because tomorrow I am having surgery.....AGAIN! I feel like I have stayed on an operated table for the past 3 years. I am having my ovaries & cervix removed & my bladder put in a sling. I am very nervous. I don't do good with surgeries. I am so terrified of dying & my babies not having a mommy. Please pray for me to have a peace of mind. Many people have reminded me that God has a plan. I just hope that plan doesn't involve me leaving my family yet.

8 Months, Fishing, & Honeysuckle!!

Caden turned 8 months yesterday! Where has time went? I want to pause life right here, unforturnely I can't! He is getting so big. He is in 18 month clothing & almost a size 3 foot!!! He now also eats tablefood. He absolutely hates babyfood and gags at the sight of the jar. He has an awesome appetite. Last night he ate broccoli & lasagna. I had to refill his plate twice. I am very glad that he eats so well. He hates the sippy cup though. He will not even open his mouth for it. I have tried water, juice, & formula. Hopefully he will start taking one soon. We still have not got the hang of crawling forwards~he still does the backwards crawls or just rolls everywhere.

Case has really started to show his anger more. When told to do something or not to do something he screams & throws a fit. I try to have patience with him but it is so hard. Matt & I took him & Caden fishing & Case loved it. Him & his daddy caught 8 fish!! Case was sad & told his daddy to put them back in the water so they could go find their mommy. He would get so excited when he saw a fish coming in. He also tried eating honeysuckle for the first time & he loved it. He kept saying "mmm nandy"!! He is so funny!!

Biter Biscuits, Cheerios, & Crawling~Oh my!

This past week we have advanced alot. We started eating biter biscuits & cheerios & Caden absolutely loves them! He smackes, drools, & acts like he has to hurry up & eat it. Crawling~he loves to go backwards & when he does go forward he reminds me of that ugly seal off of Happy Feet. He gets up on all fours & lunges forwards. Everyday is a new adventure & I am always happy to have the next day with him & Case.

Case's vocabulary is growing everyday. He has so much to say. He has also become a bird watcher. I bought bird feeders & put them right out our back window. He sits & watches them all the time & his favorite birds are the "yeller birds"!! ( Which are the beautiful finches ) Everytime we go to Walmart he wants to get the "yeller birds" some food.

7 Months & PRAYERS

7 Months! I can't beleive it!! 7 Months!

Caden now has 3 teeth. 2 on bottom & 1 on top. He loves to use them. He is also sitting up & trying so hard to crawl. He goes backwards really good but hasn't figured out the forwards part. Sometimes I am glad he hasn't figured it all out yet b/c he is very nosy & I am afraid he is going to be a get-into-everything baby. Ooh well!

Case has finally took on the role as playmate with Caden. They play so well in the floor together. But Case doesn't like sharing his "choo-choo trains" & Caden absolutely loves them. Case says he makes them nasty b/c he drools on them.

Everyday is such an adventure with the boys & I enjoy them so much. I am going to be so sad when they both go to school. People tease me all the time by saying "Are you going to go to school with them?" Believe me if I could I would. HAHA!! Maybe not!

Don't forget us in your prayers. Tomorrow we have to meet with Dr. Baltz in Little Rock. I hope & pray we get a good report. But if we don't, I hope that I can have the strength & courage to deal with it in an appropriate way. Pray that God will give me & my family strength & courage.
